What Fun Will Be Had?

The Colorado Honeybee Festival, (formerly the Palisade International Honeybee Festival) is buzzing over to Cross Orchards Historic Site – Museums of Western Colorado! This exciting move brings more space for vendors, expanded parking, and fresh activities for kids, all in a setting that perfectly captures the spirit of agriculture and community.

As part of this partnership, Cross Orchards will host new on-site honeybee hives, becoming a year-round hub for pollinator education and sustainable agriculture.

Join us in celebrating bees, farmers, and the beauty of Western Colorado in this charming historic location.

How to Get Involved

The Colorado Honeybee Festival is organized and promoted by a volunteer board.

Founded in 2008, the Colorado Honeybee Festival was created to educate the public about the global honeybee crisis, particularly the impacts of colony collapse, and to support a thriving, sustainable bee population. Healthy bees are essential to agriculture in the Grand Valley, across Colorado, and around the world.

Testimonials

★★★★★

The best festival of the year.

“The Honeybee Festival is the best family festival of the year and it’s totally free. It’s absolutely the best place to buy local honey and honey products. Make sure to stop by the Meadery to sample the honey wines, the apricot is my favorite.”

A great way to spend the day.

“We love to take the family and learn about plants and bugs. Every year we dig out our best bee costumes and buzz on down for shopping and spring fun.”
